2023 Exhibition at TYTO Regional Gallery
Valerie Keenan’s 2023 solo exhibition, Drawing YOU in – Carl Lumholtz in the Herbert, at Tyto Regional Gallery in Ingham, reimagined Carl Lumholtz’s expeditions through intricate drawings and a compelling publication. Research at the Natural History Museum of Oslo informed the direction of the project and facilitated the development of strong relationships between Norway and the Far North.
Celebrating the Herbert River region’s cultural and natural heritage, the exhibition bridged science, culture, history and art, inviting viewers to reflect on exploration and re-remembering.
