Sweet Deal, 2025, Artist book

This artwork, Sweet Deal, is a story about the way native animals have adapted to change in the landscape as cane farms have increased in size over time.  These animals, some of whom are regarded as pests, have adapted to find different ways of negotiating their environment.

Dingoes, echidnas, sulphur crested cockatoos, feral pigs, black necked storks, wallabies, cassowaries, cane beetles, bandicoots, rats, toads (introduced) and others have variously found ways to assimilate.

This artwork was created for the 2025 About Sugar Tully Exhibition exhibited in both Tully and Ingham
